The cozy holiday home Het Zeeroosje is located in the middle of the picturesque village of Paezens-Moddergat, in the far north on the Wadden Sea Friesland. This old fisherman's house, built at the end of the 19th century, has been completely renovated but fortunately has retained some characteristic features such as the traditional red color of the outside wall, the box bed and the wooden wall with display cabinet in the living room. In addition to the box bed, this holiday home has two more bedrooms upstairs under the rafters: One with a double bed, the other with two single beds. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished. There is a cozy courtyard at the back of the holiday home and you can also sit outside at the front. There are bicycles ready in the shed, where there is also enough space to store your own bicycles and to charge the electric ones.

You step out the door, walk 100 m and you are on the dike where you have a beautiful view of the Wadden Sea. Hiking enthusiasts can walk straight to the specially constructed walking pier in the sea. Cycling enthusiasts can indulge themselves because there are endless cycling possibilities in the vicinity of Paesens-Moddergat. You can also go here for mudflat hiking

There is a small but very nice fishing museum in Paezens-Moddergat. You can have an excellent lunch and drink in the Tea House: Yke-muoi kofje & tee drinkerij. We hope to have another catering facility in the old village cafe soon. There is a variety of food for sale in the village and immediate vicinity, for further shopping you can take a bike or car. A brand new playground has recently been built around the corner: A paradise for the children!

Is there a beach? No, there isn't. But in 20 minutes you are by car at the recreation and nature reserve Lauwersmeer. There are several beautiful beaches and water for surfing, boating and swimming. Nature lovers can also indulge themselves in the beautiful surroundings.

Fancy a day out on the Wadden Island? You drive in a short time to the boat to Ameland or Schiermonnikoog. And driving a little further you also reach the boats to the other islands.
